Classification of Flame-Retardant Boards:
Class I flame-retardant boards are weather-resistant and boiling-water-resistant flame-retardant plywood, possessing the advantages of durability, high temperature resistance, and suitability for steam treatment. Class II flame-retardant boards are water-resistant flame-retardant boards, suitable for immersion in cold water and short-term immersion in hot water. Class III flame-retardant boards are moisture-resistant flame-retardant boards, suitable for short-term immersion in cold water and for use indoors at normal temperatures. They are used for furniture and general construction purposes. Class IV flame-retardant boards are not moisture-resistant and are used under normal indoor conditions, mainly for packaging and general-purpose flame-retardant board applications. Materials used for flame-retardant boards include basswood, ash, birch, elm, and poplar.
Decorative Veneer Flame-Retardant Boards
(1) Decorative veneer flame-retardant boards are artificial boards made by applying natural wood decorative veneers to flame-retardant boards. Decorative veneers are thin wood slices made from high-quality wood through slicing or rotary cutting methods.
(2) Characteristics of decorative veneer flame-retardant boards: Decorative veneer flame-retardant boards are one of the most commonly used materials in interior decoration. Because the decorative veneer on the surface of this product is made from high-quality wood through slicing or rotary cutting methods, it has better decorative properties than ordinary flame-retardant boards. This product is natural, simple, and elegant, creating a comfortable and sophisticated living environment.
(3) Types of decorative veneer flame-retardant boards: Decorative veneer flame-retardant boards can be divided into single-sided decorative veneer flame-retardant boards and double-sided decorative veneer flame-retardant boards according to the decorative surface; they can be divided into Class I, Class II, and Class III decorative veneer flame-retardant boards according to water resistance; and they can be divided into radial decorative veneer flame-retardant boards and tangential decorative veneer flame-retardant boards according to the grain of the decorative veneer. Single-sided decorative veneer flame-retardant boards are the most common. Common wood species used for decorative veneers include birch, ash, oak, beech, elm, maple, and walnut.
(4) Grading of decorative wood veneer fire-retardant panels: According to Chinese standards for decorative wood veneer fire-retardant panels, these panels are classified into three grades: superior grade, first grade, and qualified grade. Manufacturers and consumers are reminded that other grading systems do not conform to Chinese standards for decorative wood veneer fire-retardant panels; for example, some manufacturers use a "AAA" grading system, which is a company-specific practice.
